Disconnected
Rite now, I feel like how a newborn must feel when it is first cutoff from its mother via its umbilical cord.

For nine months the fetus is dependent on that cord for everthing...life, breath, nourishment, and just plain connection to its mother. Then once it passes thru dat birth canal or is extracted thru C-section from da womb...it is subjected to being cutoff and disconnected from the mommy.

For 4 years I was dependent on Liwanag for life: spiritual nourishment, spontaneity, fellowship, mafia sessions, road trips. They were my home away from home, my brothers, my sistahs, my joys, my worries, my stress-reliever, my journey. And unfortuantely I had to pass thru the birth canal of commencement and have been extracted from my family. And boy do I feel cutoff and disconnected!

I miss Liwanag!!
