Our Problems = God's Opportunities
" ...we may spend more time worrying about our problems than praying about them...[or] solving them. A far better strategy is to pray as if everything depended enitrely on God and to work as if everything depended entirely on us..."
"What we see as problems God sees as opportunities"
***Disclaimer: This post may become graphic & controversial at times. But its truth. And the truth hurts sometimes.
This entry from "Purpose for Everyday Living" was once again so fitting to the end of my day last night. Man life is so precious, but quite often it's not look at in that light. The other day when I was making the trek up to the desertland of Palmdale, I caught the tail end of a very interesting discussion with Dr. Laura Schlessinger about the topic of abortion. Out of the 3 callers, the most interesting one was a father who had commited an abortion with his girlfriend at 22 and at 34 he regrettfully mourns his decision. He realized that his loss when he had his daughter who is now 7 and realized that he should also have a child who should be 12 at this time, but he didn't even know the sex of the baby because the abortion was done too early in her pregancy. He also gave a very graphic description of how the baby was sucked out of her and came out as pink goo. Man it breaks my heart.
The topic reared its head once again when I was watching an episode of Sex in the City and Miranda found out she was pregnant. She was already in the abortion clinic when she decided against having it...Praise God!
And then last night I got the tragic news that a friend is pregnant, and is scheduled to have an abortion on Dec. 14. I know that this is such a controversial topic with many people. But I take a very simple stance in it all. That child is person who has a right to life!!! It's as simple as that. I make an appeal that you all join me in prayer.
The only thing we can do is pray...
