Summertime 2008

Although my summer break was quite short this season, it was quite eventful. I was sure to pack it with tons of fun especially since the cousins were visiting from Washington state. Here's a quick recap:

Thursday, Aug. 14: Pick the coosins from the airport and headed to the 3rd Street Promenade for lunch. We hung out, did some shopping, took random pics to entertain ourselves.

Friday, Aug. 15: Church with the parentals & brunch at our local breakfast place in Palmdale "Alice's". Then the cousins headed to the Dry Town Waterpark in P-dale =)

Saturday, Aug 16: Watched Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, shopping, and church, Famous Daves with the fam bam!

Tuesday, Aug. 19: Mia & I took the Metrolink to Oceanside. It was quite the adventure trying to park and get on the train. We made it just in time with 1 minute to spare. We rented bikes and went biking along the shoreline. Then laid out for a little bit.

Thursday, Aug 21: Headed to Oxnard to hang by the beach with Mia & the parents. The coosin & I borrowed boogie boards from the Angfoo and braved the waves of Silver Strand. Super fun!!

Friday, Aug 22: Helped the sister set up her 3rd grade classroom. We helped design her window decor, set up her monkey bulletin board, and stacked her student's books on their desks.
Saturday, Aug 23: Took the Fly-Away in Van Nuys to LAX before heading to Vegas!! We arrived McCarran and headed to MGM. We were all about the taxis this weekend. Headed to Planet Hollywood for shopping and dinner. Then got ready to party at Pure! It was super packed and really hot. In fact it was still 104 degrees F @ 10pm!!

Sunday, Aug 24: Buffet at the Belagio, shopping at the Forum shops, church, a short nap, and got ready for a krazy nite @ Body English in the Hard Rock hotel. This was a crazy fun nite. Redman and Akon were there...and the DJ played hip-hop the whole nite. We partied till late into 6am...very impressive for us ladies. Thanks ladies =)

Monday, Aug 25: Made our trek back to the airport only to find that the thunder and lightning storm had struck the plane we were supposed to take to LAX. We got delayed for about 3 hours but fortunately got back ok!

Tuesday, Aug. 26: Headed to Hollywood with Wing & Mia. Grabbed some PINKS before we headed to the Wicked lottery. Unfortunately, we weren't picked but we did get some discount tickets. Then Wing & I got Season Passes for the Pantages in 2009, along with our Rent tics.

Thurday, Sept. 4: Went to House of Blues with the Angfoo to see Estelle. It was a great time...even tho we could barely understand her in between sets. It was nonetheless a fun time with Ang!

It's been a great summer and post-grad celebration!!! But now it's back to business. Taking Kaplan and back to studying my butt off for my upcoming NCLEX. Here we go again!!
